Mary's July News and Notes

Welcome fellow readers! Happy Friday! How are my favorite readers today? July has been so hot, I haven't been able to sit out on my patio. Salt Lake City hit a record 109 last Sunday. At least it's cooler. It only hit 95 yesterday, felt like spring. What have you been doing this month? I hope it's been great. I am working on the Magna Main Street Art Festival. A group of authors and I have reserved a corner grassy spot for the Authors Corner. We'll have chats, readings and a panel of up and coming hopeful writers. We'll have a drawing for Blind Date with a Book every top of the hour. Of course we'll all be signing and selling our books. If you live in Utah, I hope you can visit us. Tonight is book club. The book is The First Witch of Boston by Andrea Catalano, alas I'm not going to finish it by tonight, but I will soon. I have been reading my friends ARC's and New releases. Check out Steele of the Heller Raiders MC by KyAnn Waters. It's a Dark Romance and very spicy, heat level 5+. We have started watching Paradise on Hulu. We are half way through the first season, we LOVE it. Now find a place you can curl up with a good book, grab a cup of hot cocoa, a glass of wine, or whatever your preference is, and enjoy! EASY Crockpot Rosemary Chicken and Veggies Directions: Add the oil to the bottom of the crockpot, then add the potatoes and carrots. Add the broth and sprinkle some of the seasoning over and stir. Rub one of the sprigs between your palms letting it fall over the veggies. Lay the breasts on top. Sprinkle the rest of the seasonings over the top and another sprig of rosemary.
