Get your shed in order.
Go over your tools. Sharpen blades, oil hinges, and think about expanding or upgrading your

collection. Use a mill file to sharpen blades, then add penetrating oil to remove and prevent corrosion. You would be surprised how much easier it is to dig or cut with a sharp, well-oiled implement; the right tools will make the whole season much easier!
You should also take this opportunity to replenish your supplies. Make sure you have enough fertilizer and soil amendments on hand. Replenish your supply of plant supports, and pre-assemble any structures like tomato cages that you want to make for yourself. It is a lot easier to do get this work done in your shed while the weather is still icky than to have to worry about it later in spring when there is plenty of things you would rather be doing outside.

ā€œYou are hurt, worse than you want to say,ā€ Rebecca Warner whispered. Her soft green eyes were filled with real concern, something Adam had never expected to see on her face. ā€œWell, that is disappointing.ā€

 ā€œDisappointing?ā€ Rebecca immediately began searching through his hair for the wound, and he chose to imagine it a sensual caress until she spoke again. ā€œYou have a gash to your head that has bled. Dear God, you could have died.ā€

 ā€œAlways looking on the bright side,ā€ he murmured, and then noticed how close the lady was to his body. He inhaled slowly, delighted in this unexpectedly rare treat. Mrs. Warner had never been the friendliest sort. ā€œYou smell nice.ā€

 ā€œReally, Rafferty,ā€ she chided. She suddenly slipped her hand inside his coat, rummaged in his pockets and began to dab at his head with the handkerchief she found there. ā€œThis is hardly the time to worry about my perfume.ā€

 ā€œAs you say, I could have been killed. Seems like an appropriate time for noticing the little things in life that please me.ā€ He felt pain and hissed. Eager for a distraction, he dropped his gaze to her shoulderā€”now bare of the shawl, which had fallen away unnoticed by the lady. The respectable garment Rebecca had worn to church, so stylish and modest, was less so now thanks to the accident. The struggle out of the carriage seemed to have ripped the seam apart, and her pale skin looked very soft and inviting. He curled his fingers into the skirt of her gown and held it. ā€œLovely.ā€

 She drew back to peer into his eyes again, and then she glanced down at his fist. ā€œWhat are you doing?ā€

 What was he doing? Adam had no idea, but he wasnā€™t of a mind to stop.
