Sweet Savanna Home Series by Marie Higgins

Welcome to Mary's Garden Blog. I am pleased to present our guest. Marie Higgins and she'll be talking about her newest book. Not only her newest but her 50TH book. Congratulations!

First let's do our 4th tip for our Garden. From Better Homes and Gardens.
Tip 1: Get an idea.
Tip 2: Pick a place.
Tip 4: Improve the soil. Invariably, soil needs a boost. The solution is simple: organic matter. Add a 2- to 3-inch layer of compost, decayed leaves, dry grass clippings, or old manure. If you dig soil (see Step 5), till the organic matter into the soil. If you decide not to dig or are working with an established bed you can't dig, leave the organic matter on the surface and it will work its way into the soil in a few months.

To learn more about your soil, have a soil test done through your county cooperative extension office. They'll lead you through the procedure: how much soil to send from which parts of the garden, and the best time to obtain samples. Expect a two-week wait for their findings, which will tell you what your soil lacks and how to amend it.

Just an FYI, I have a Rafflecopter currently running. After our guest shares her new book with us I will post the details so scroll all the way. Without further delay.... Marie Higgins.

Sweet Savannah Home
Welcome to Savannah, Georgia, 1885!  In my new series, I’ll take my readers back in time to when there was turmoil in the southern states… and of course, discontentment between my characters. Each book in the series will focus around the conflict during that era, along with adding a handful of people from Ireland and England. So much fun!

I have a special reason for promoting this story. I’ve reached the point in my writing career that I can now boast about publishing BOOK # 50!!  What a thrill it is for me to talk about Surrender Your Heart, book 1 in the series.

After a lifetime of heartache, Adam Hamilton knows bad luck follows him like a stray dog. He doesn’t dare get too close to anyone for fear something terrible will happen to them – like what happened when his wife and son died. After five years of drifting, Adam returns home to Savannah, Georgia, and learns his brother has been murdered. Determined to find answers, Adam decides to stay, but in his quest for truth, he’ll have to fight the ghosts of the past.
Emily Black races to Savannah after the sudden death of her sister’s husband. There Emily meets the coldhearted Adam Hamilton, and the man quickly proves to be an utter pain in her backside. However, as she gets to know him, she realizes a broken man is hiding beneath an aloof façade. Slowly, Emily softens toward him, determined to show him that good still exists in his life, and hoping he’ll include her in it.

I had the great privilege of having the male model on my cover read and excerpt of my story. Michael W Foster is such an awesome person.  Check out the video he made when he read the excerpt of my book. https://youtu.be/5OivPIYHZjM

I’m currently working on book #2 in this series, The Reluctant Widow.
