Joline from DC Georgetown Gazette interviews Riley O'Neal

Welcome to the garden. You know the routine, fill your plates with goodies and grab a beverage. We're in for a treat. Welcome back Joline from the DC Georgetown Gazette, she last visited the garden to interview two prominent women of the business community of Georgetown. Today she's excited to interview Riley O'Neal. Let's get started.

Joline: It's good to be back in the garden, the fall colors are gorgeous. Now, Riley, thank you for joining us today. I understand you work for Northstar Security Firm. Are you an agent there?

Riley O’Neal: I am an agent. All of our case are confidential, so I can’t give you specifics, but I enjoy helping people out of sticky situations.

Joline: Your father started Northstar Security, correct?

Riley O’Neal: My father and mother started the firm with a partner, Sean Malone, not long after the USSR fell. The firm has been a premiere private security agency for over twenty-five years.

Joline: I didn’t realize your mother was also involved. Is she an agent?

Riley O’Neal: She was. She and my father and Sean used to handle most of the cases themselves. Then my mother was killed during an op. Sean received a career ending injury at the same time. I’m sure Dad would like to get out in the field, but he mostly handles things from behind a desk these days.

Joline: I’m sorry about your mother. That must have been hard growing up.

Riley O’Neal: It was at the time, but we’ve adjusted. She was a good woman.

Joline: Not unlike your new partner, Lt. Mary Anderson? I hear she’s worked with you before on a case?

Riley O’Neal: Chip, um, Lt. Anderson is not at all like my mother. She’s rash and stubborn— sorry, I’ve overstepped the bounds of professionalism.

Joline: No need to apologize. It sounds like you and Lt. Anderson will have to work through some issues to make your partnership work. That’s all the time we have now, but we wish you and Lt. Anderson the best of luck on your next case.

Blurb:
Northstar Security agent, Riley O’Neal, balks at posing as anyone’s husband for an assignment. Nevertheless, to rescue the kidnapped wife of a U.S. Senator, he’ll perform his duty and do his best to resist the charms of the very woman who deceived him on a previous mission.

U.S. Army Lt. Mary “Chip” Anderson is uneasy about the undercover assignment to pose as newlyweds. Concealing her attraction to Riley while staying focused on the task, may be the biggest challenge. Despite efforts to remain objective, enforced proximity ignites emotions and a desire to make the fake honeymoon real.

When Chip is kidnapped during a botched rescue attempt of the senator's wife, both women become
pawns in the case that threatens the nation’s security. Riley must remain objective, save the women, and avert the threat. But after that, can he convince Chip that she wants to wear his ring forever?
