Follower Rambling

I go to blogs each day or I should say my favorite blogs each day. Some I follow, and some I don't. I'm not sure what the difference is, other than if I follow them, they have that little tiny half picture of me under their followers.

What does this mean? I'm their friend? I really don't like the term follower, cause that implies that I'm not a leader. And I really want to be a leader. I would like to lead you! Please be my follower. I'm adding a poll to see what it would take for you to follow me.

Here are a few things I have planned for the future, more industry rambles. i.e. writing craft, conferences, agents, editors. Interviews with fellow authors, people I find interesting or people in a field I'm currently researching. If there are any other subjects that you would find interesting, please tell me.

Also, I have a new web site and blog design as some of you have noticed. As a result I have two outdated coffee mugs with the old sunflower design. And believe it or not, Starbucks $10 Gift cards to go with them. If you help me with my followers by giving me your suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Here's how you can receive one, participate in the poll, then leave a comment. I will do a drawing for two winners at the beginning of March. I will be posting between now and then, so you'll have to find this blog to comment on.

Thanks for your help!

All you had to do was ask. I'm always glad to be a follower as long as I'm a leader on my own blog site.

I guess that works. Everyone is a leader on their blog. I like that!
Thanks

I don't have any advice on followers because I have blogger phobia. Blogging scares me. I know it's irrational, but it does. I know I'm going to have to face my fears and tackle the monster. I do love your website. It looks very suspenseful.

Mary: You are prolific! Your own blog. Our Mysteries and Margaritas blog. The comments you leave on others' blogs. And, needless to say, your writing. Boy, I admire that. I sometimes feel out of breath just keeping up with it all.

Thank you Stanalei, I'll keep the interviews coming. I have two coming up I can't wait for... nope not going to tell you what.

Anita, I used to have blog phobia, then I broke down and started one, now I'm with a group and two or three personal ones that have nothing to do with writing. It's additive.

Cassy, You know how I say it's addictive, well so is twitter, facebook, especially email and everything else. Now all I have to do is find time to write! I think I'm addicted to the computer in general. I need an intervention! I have to write or Christine will give me the boot!

I would say you have to have really interesting subjects on your blog. Then tell people about them on all the loops. I don't think there's magic to it. If you keep giving them good stuff, they will follow.

Of course, every one and their brother blogs nowadays, so people have a lot of choices and only so much time away from their own writing.

A dilemma!!!
Well, Mary...you know how much I'd just love to stalk you. hahaha! I'd love to be your follower and have you look at my pic every time you blog. (wink)

I enjoy visiting your blog. To be honest, I enjoy blogging period, the problem is there are so many out there that I enjoy and I am sure many more that I do not even know about!! Scarry:) I enjoy when you interview the authors. You find out a little about your favorites and learn about their books. I also enjoy when I find a new author (to me) that I can check out their books!!

Mary, I voted and I am a follower now as primrose. I've been coming to your blog for some time now. I love blogs and following them. I love the author participation where one can learn about the author and their books. I like contests very much on blogs also. I like to hear about the author's personal life and whatever they want to share.
