Mary's September News and Notes

📚Mary's September News and Notes🌻📖

Welcome fellow readers!
Happy Friday! How are my favorite readers today?
So much has happened since last month it seems like a year has gone by, thank goodness it hasn't. The only consolation with how fast everything moving, it is fall and the leaves are turning, it's my favorite time of year. Pumpkin Spice lattes, fall colors, and football!
My second book of the Wintergreen Village Series will be out October 14, 2025. I have my first review on Goodreads from one of my ARC readers. Thank you, Aaron! 4 Stars.
It was really cute, full of holiday festivities and romance!
What happens when the 2 chefs that graduated culinary school together get reintroduced at a wedding one is catering and the other is a bridesmaid at? Do they hook up or air out all the hidden feelings?
I loved the family dynamics in this story and the cozy Christmas vibes. I felt like there was a touch too much of the miscommunication trope going on but overall really enjoyed getting to see how their story unfolded.
This was my first Mary Martinez book and I am so grateful for the honor of arc reading it. I would absolutely say add this to your cozy holiday TBR!
Find a place you can curl up with a good book, grab a cup of hot cocoa, a glass of wine, or whatever your preference is, and enjoy!

Wintergreen Village Series
Nestled in a quiet suburb of Chicago lies Wintergreen Village—a magical town where snowflakes fall like confetti, neighbors become family, and love often arrives wrapped in unexpected moments. With its charming streets and caring community, once you’ve visited, you’ll never want to leave.

A bit about my spotlight guest! Part 2: Stanalei Fletcher:
Day job is over and I’m giving all my work a facelift. I am transitioning to Indie publishing and would love for Mary’s readers to join me in my journey. After a taste of life on both U.S. coasts, I now reside in Utah near the beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range with my husband. When not writing, I enjoy camping in the backcountry with my family, riding dirt trails on our RZR, visiting National Parks, and exploring museums and ghost towns. And of course, reading.

This is the easiest soup. If you can't find the prova tomatoes, you can use medium tomatoes.
Add the chicken to a pot and brown in the olive oil. Then add all the veggies and spices, half of the broth and bring to a rolling boil for 15 minutes. Turn to medium low for an hour or until the potatoes and carrots are tender. Stir occasionally adding the broth as needed to the thickness you want.
To change it up, you can add cannellini beans or kidney beans. Also, if you have leftovers, but not enough for a meal, you can add shredded cabbage, zucchini, celery, or spinach. More broth if needed.
Below, I have added shredded cabbage
