Mary's June News and Notes

📚Stuff your eReader for FREE day!🌻📖

Welcome fellow readers!
Happy Friday! How are my favorite readers today?

I'm still learning this new newsletter program. But so far I like it. Just a learning curve for me, I am getting the hang of it. This is the reason I'm late getting my newsletter out today. My apologizes.

What have you been doing since my last News and Notes? Well here is a brief run down on my life since last month. I am still working on my Christmas book, almost to the edits of the rough draft. I went to Vegas for the Book Lovers Con. It was a blast. I met a lot of new friends, readers, and authors. Details below.

Our granddaughter graduated from high School. She was accepted into the University of Utah Nursing program. We're very proud. We have been going to her sister's softball games, we're proud of her also. Well we are proud of all our grandkids, but I won't go through all eleven! I went to a Farmer's Market and shared a booth with my daughter. It was very dusty. I won't do another one unless I'm on grass or blacktop/cement. But it was fun spending the day with her and I sold a few books. So that was it in a nutshell. (yes it was a nutshell.)

Find a place you can curl up with a good book, grab a cup of hot cocoa, a glass of wine, or whatever your preference is, and enjoy!

Monthly Recipe
Italian Garlic Butter Beef
1/2 lb.           Beef cubes
1/2 stick     Butter
4 cloves     Garlic chopped
1/2                Onion sliced rings
1 tsp.           Paprika
1 tsp.           Onion powder
1/2 tsp.       Sea salt
1 tsp.          Black pepper
3 tsp.          Italian seasoning
1 tbsp.        Garlic olive oil

Add the oil to the frying pan let it heat to medium high. Add the beef, stir until browned on all side. Approx. 5 minutes. Then remove from the pan into a bowl.  Add the butter once it is softened add the onion rings and sauté for 3 minutes. Then add the chopped garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is golden brown. Add the meat back in, cover and cook for another 5 minutes or more if you like your beef well done.

Serve with steamed broccoli or other vegetable side dish. I also added roasted potatoes.
