Fellow Author Day!

Welcome to Mary's Garden. Before we get started I have our garden tip of the week. This is a shared one from the Internet as my resident gardener hasn't had his coffee yet...

This is from Better Homes and Gardens.
Follow These 10 Steps to a Magnificent Garden:
Spring is a good time to begin growing and digging, although planning can take place before the snow melts. Gardeners spend most of the summer watering, weeding, and watching young plants grow. Fall is a good time to plant trees, shrubs, bulbs, and some perennials.
Tip 1: Get an idea.
Is this going to be a vegetable garden? An herb garden? A flower garden? If you choose to grow flowers, do you want annuals, which you must replant each year but which give color most of the summer? Or do you prefer perennials, which have a shorter bloom time but come back year after year? You can mix any of the above—after all, it's your garden. Just one bit of advice: Start small. 'Tis better to succeed just a little, than to fail grandly. Next week tip 2.

Today is my author friend day!
What kind of books do you like? Romance, Romantic Suspense, Sweet historicals, Paranormal, Thriller, or Horror? Well actually the genre list can go on and on, there are so many sub genre's now!

I will start with my good friend Stanalei Fletcher. If you love to read a good romantic suspense, here is a great one. The NorthStar Security Series. Guided by the truth.

Proving Ground
Screw-ups don't get second chances. That's what Caitlin Malone believes when she returns to Oregon after failing her first Northstar Security assignment. When she inadvertently stumbles across a plot to steal deadly pathogens from the bio-lab near her hometown, she sees a chance at redemption.

It's early September, any spark will send the dry timber into a raging fire, and the terrorists are counting on that distraction to work in their favor. Caitlin must first escape the fire to avert the biological disaster. Her only hope for survival is the man who broke her heart, USDA Forest Ranger, John MacAlistair.

Dead Reckoning
Byron O'Neal, Northstar Security Firm's director didn't always run an elite private investigation firm. His early CIA years were spent chasing Soviet spies. Now his past is catching up, and Kellee, Bryon's daughter is caught in the middle of a game of Russian Roulette. Northstar agent and former Navy SEAL, Egan Maddox, is tasked to save Kellee from the Russian mafia before it's too late, a task that puts not only his life, but his heart on the line.

Beyond Duty
When Northstar Security Firm investigates the blackmail of a U.S. Senator, agents Riley O'Neal and Mary "Chip" Anderson don the unwelcome cover of newlyweds to find two kidnapped women and stop the blackmail - and posing as newlyweds to avert a national security crisis is a lot harder than it seems.

Breaking The Honor Code
Cyber-terrorism can bring a company to its knees, but can fighting it bring total opposites together?

Tell it Like it Is
When Northstar Security agent Justine Shelby is assigned to protect world-famous author Rosalee Kane, the last thing she wants is help from the author’s nephew, prickly but attractive FBI Special Agent Nelson Kane. Shelby is used to depending on herself and is content to work alone, but Rosalee and Kane make Shelby wish for something more. Of course, he may never forgive her if the assignment isn’t successful, and the threats are escalating.

Captivated by his enemy’s daughter, Marcus kidnaps her, but in turn, she captures his heart…until he discovers Isabelle is one of Napoleon’s spies with the power to endanger his life and the lives of his friends.
After her release, Isabelle can’t stop thinking about her masked abductor and how he’d stolen her heart before ridding her of his presence. Betrothed to a man who strangely reminds her of the man whose kisses set her ablaze, she marries him, only to discover he’s not who he seemed to be as is withholding secrets. But then…so is she.

WONDERLAND BY NIGHT (Book 3)
Lady Sarah Emiline Lucia needs to hide her identity for fear that mobs will kill her and her family after her uncle—Napoleon Bonaparte—is exiled to Melba. She is sent to Hampshire, England to stay with friends of her father. To stay safe, she must play the role of her maid, while her maid assumes Lady Sarah’s identity. Complications arise when she meets the very handsome man, and she suddenly wants him to look at her as a real woman, not a servant. Protecting her life, however, is more important than confessing the truth.

Gabriel Lawrence’s pirate ship is almost captured and this time it was too close. He and his crew need to hide for a few months in hopes that Napoleon’s men who seek revenge, will soon forget about him.  During his stay at his aunt and uncle’s in Hampshire, he meets the niece of his enemy. Because she doesn’t know who Gabe is, he will become close to her to see if she knows any more of her uncle’s secrets. But the beauty of her companion, Miss Emmie, captures his attention, and her quirky personality keeps him wanting more. But her over-zealous nature for adventure places both of them in danger and he’s forced to play the honorable rogue.

WORTH FIGHTING FOR (Book 4)

Lindsay Lennox, daughter of the governor of Turkey, worries she’ll never have the chance to meet a man and fall in love. Being the youngest of eight daughters, it is customary for all of her sisters to marry before she can be out in society and even meet a man. Her twenty-fourth birthday is coming quickly, and she’s running out of hope. Desperation takes hold and she disguises herself as a servant in order to slip through the palace gates. Disaster strikes when she meets a handsome sea captain and is mistakenly whisked across the sea to England. Lindsay knows her only hope of salvation will be to find her Whitton relatives in England and beg for help. Unfortunately, the devastating Captain Braxton proves more temptation than her lonely heart can resist.
