Fellow Author Day Part II

Welcome to Mary's Garden. Before we begin, let's have our garden tip, shall we?

This is from Better Homes and Gardens.
Follow These 10 Steps to a Magnificent Garden:
Tip 1: Get an idea.
Tip 2: Pick a place. Almost all vegetables and most flowers need about six hours of full sun each day. Spend a day in your chosen spot and watch how the sun moves across the space. It might receive more sun than you think. But don't despair if your lot is largely sunless; many plants tolerate shade. Check plant tags or ask the staff at your local garden center to find out how much sun a plant requires.

Put the garden where you can't ignore its pleas for attention—outside the back door, near the mailbox, by the window you stare out when you dry your hair. Place it close enough to a water spigot that you won't have to drag the hose to the hinterlands. Next week Tip 3.

Now it is time to carry on with my Fellow Authors!

Today let's hear a little about National Best Selling Author Brenda Novak. Brenda has, I was going to put a number here, but I'm not sure how many books she has. I believe it's 80 or more. She writes romance, romantic suspense and what I believe is women's fiction.

One of my favorite series is her Evelyn Talbot Series. The next one up is Face Off (Book 3 of the series)

SHE VOWED NEVER TO BE A VICTIM AGAIN

Tortured and left for dead at sixteen, Evelyn Talbot turned her personal nightmare into her life’s work—studying the disturbing psychopathy of some of the world’s most vicious serial killers. Now the leading psychiatrist at Hanover House in a small Alaskan town, she tries to believe that the past will never come back to haunt her—until a woman goes missing from a cabin nearby and every clue points to the man who once brutalized her…

BUT NOW HER WOULD-BE KILLER HAS RETURNED

As her boyfriend, who is the area’s only police, begins to investigate, and finds not one but two bodies, Evelyn can’t forget that her would-be killer, Jasper Moore, was never caught. But there are no new faces in tiny Hilltop, no one who seems suspicious or potentially violent. In this twisted game of cat and mouse, Evelyn is certain of only one thing—Jasper must be hiding in plain sight. And if they can’t find him before he comes for her, she won’t be lucky enough to survive twice…

You can NOT go wrong with one of Brenda's Books. Check these places to find her;

Another author friend. Liz Talley. She totally matches her tag line: Better than sweet tea on a hot day. I met Liz at the first National RWA Conference I attended. She was one of my roommates that was in 2005. And I have stayed with her at a conference since then. We explored D.C. together. Friends you meet at RWA stay friends for life.

You will love reading Liz, especially if you love romance. Here is her latest book, Come Home to Me. It's a must read.

Come Home To Me
Healing the wounds of the past doesn’t come easy in this novel of friendship and forgiveness from
award-winning author Liz Talley.

Summer Valentine has returned to Moonlight, South Carolina, a very different woman from the naive wallflower who left years before. These days she’s straightforward and savvy, determined to do right by her son, David—even if that means cashing in her struggling music career in Nashville and returning to the town that drove her away. Sure, she took a fall. But at least she now knows where she stands…

Despite her anger over the past, Summer believes David deserves a relationship with his father, Hunter “Hunt” McCroy. Though Hunt’s illustrious career has faded, privilege still protects him from his worst mistakes.

Someone else is back in Moonlight too: Rhett Bryan, the golden boy of Hollywood, who’s taking stock of his own life after a tragic accident. As his rekindled friendship with Summer quickly deepens, she must reconcile the painful history that ties her to both men—one she’s finally forgiven, one she’s afraid to love—to claim healing and happiness.

And now on to my friend award winning author L. L. Muir. All about the Clan. There is romance, romantic suspense, young adult and middle grade. My grandkids loved her Where to Pee on a Pirate Ship.

I'm not sure where to start. One thing before I move one, there is a series with L. L. Muir with other authors also, it is called The Ghosts of Culloden Moor series, check that out!

Imagine...
Alone, with a Highlander, in his castle, on a cold dark night...

(Okay, so it wasn’t that cold.)

Jillian MacKay is being conned by a pair of eighty-year-old witches. They’re convinced she’s the perfect sucker to test a prophecy and they’re willing to bury her alive to prove it. Once she escapes and finds herself in 15th Century Scotland, she believes her return home depends on a heroic deed—she must rescue a plaid-clad Romeo and Juliet before tragedy can strike.  The monster standing in her way, however, is a handsome Highlander who might just be her own Romeo...a Romeo she must leave behind.

Rather than surrender his secrets, Montgomery Ross would prefer to go down in history as the heartless creature who betrayed one sister and buried the other alive.  When he falls in love with the prophesied faery who has come to expose him, he'll have to learn a wee lesson from the star-crossed lovers or suffer the fate to which he once condemned them.
