Stanalei Fletcher's January Blowout Sale Blog Tour

Welcome to Mary’s Garden.

We have a treat today! Long Beach Gazette’s Jason Remy will be interviewing Author Rosalee Kane.

Jason: Thank you for agreeing to visit with me today, Ms. Kane. Before I get down to the nuts and bolts of my interview, I’d like to get to know you a bit, is that alright with you?

Rosalee: Of course. Ask away!

Jason: Ms. Kane, can you tell us a little about you and your family?

Rosalee: Please, call me Rosalee. Oh my. Just a little bit, eh? Well, I suppose if you read my memoir, then you can learn all you’d care to know. But to start with, I’m a romance author at heart. I just love happy endings, although I’ve never been married myself. I’ve learned to find love where I’m at and enjoy life to the fullest. I have a lovely little family with my nephew and his two grown sons. We love to get together when we can.

Jason: Do you have a writing routine? An assistant? Share with our readers how you write a Memoir.

Rosalee: My routine rarely varies. I write nearly every day in the morning right after Tai Chi and then breakfast. I have had a few assistants during the course of my career and I just adore my latest assistant, Ms. Shelby. As for writing a memoir, it was more challenging that I thought it would be. But I was determined to get my life story on the page, not only for my fans, but for my family too.

Jason: The New Year has just began, can you share with our readers what, if any, resolutions or goals you have for the New Year?

Rosalee: Oh goodness! What a wonderful question. Starting a new year is like a staring at a blank page and trying to figure out where I want my story to go. The possibilities are endless and there’s the joy of discovery around every corner. My only resolution is recognize those amazing moments as they happen and enjoy each and every one.

Jason: Thank you for sharing. Now I’d like to ask a little tougher question. There are rumors that the Memoir you’ve written caused quite the controversy.

Rosalee: Unfortunately, I can’t keep it totally a secret that I received death threats while I was writing my memoirs. Who would have thought that my little ol’ story would have cause such a stir? I still wonder that the mafia wasn’t behind some of those threats.

Jason: Is true you have a nephew who is a FBI agent? Does he think you may be in danger?

Rosalee: My great nephew, Nelson. Yes, he is a special agent with the FBI. In the beginning, he wasn’t so sure the threats were real. But he’s certainly been a lot more attentive since the threats started. I must confess I just adore having him around.

Jason: Do you have plans for another project?

Rosalee: I’m starting a new series of romantic suspense novels. I think I want to model it after a wonder security firm I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Northstar Security. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

Amazon | The Wild Rose Press Excerpt: … the mechanic shook out a rag and laid it on the floor. Then, like a mother laying a baby in its crib, he gently placed a part from the engine on it. Finally, he straightened and started around the other side of the lift. As he took off the ball cap, a black ponytail fell over one shoulder. Replacing the cap with the bill facing forward, the mechanic turned and unzipped the grease-stained coveralls. “Hi.” Sloan offered a smile. “I hope you can help me. I’m looking for—” The words stuck in his throat as he stared. The mechanic wasn’t a man. He—no, she was Allison Richards. And she was safe. The look on her face mirrored his own shock. He hadn’t expected to find her so quickly, and certainly not fixing engines in a garage. That wasn’t his only surprise. Instead of the oversized white lab coat that was her uniform at Northstar’s lab, she wore faded denim coveralls that hung baggily off her shoulders. But it was what was under the unzipped coveralls that showed off attributes he hadn’t realized she owned.
