Happy Thanksgiving

Wednesday Ramblings. I apologize, it's been one of those weeks. Getting ready for Thanksgiving, and our vacation the next day is very hectic.

However, I'm grateful I am privileged enough to have a dinner with family tomorrow, and can afford a trip for my husbands birthday. I am thinking of all those who do not have a home, or are across the seas away from home. I hope everyone tomorrow can find something to be thankful for.

I appreciate all of my friends and family and the support they've given me over the years. Especially since I've been writing, everyone has been fantastic.

Please take care over the holiday weekend, and if you see someone in need hold a helping hand.
Be safe and I'll touch base when I return.

Monday Evening Rambles

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. I leave the day after for a vacation with hubby. He's turning 60 and wanted to go to Key West for his birthday. No I am not that old!

Anyway, so we're going to do things nice and laid back on the holiday. Open house. Cook in the morning put it all on hot plates or crockpots. Everyone will drop by after 2:00 pm, chill, watch football and eat.

I hope it's as relaxing as it sounds.

What are your plans?

If you're an author how do you find time to write? Do you take a break during the holidays? Or do you still write a little every day. Let me know, I'd love to hear.
Until Next week!

Holiday Rambling

It's that time of week again. My Monday Ramble. And it's on the holidays this time. Have you started your shopping? Have you finished? I haven't even started!

We're doing a family trip to Orlando in April--I know it doesn't really have anything to do with Christmas--So I thought, hey why not buy the kids something for the trip. We're going to visit SeaWorld while we are there and the ticket is within my price range and would leave enough for me to buy the traditional outfit, etc. But then I thought, but what happens, if heaven for bid, something comes up and we can't go? Then I'm out the money for the ticket and the poor kids are out a present from Nana & Papa.

Hey a Visa Gift Card with a Disney picture on front. Disney.com has Gift Cards like that but you can only use them at Disney parks and Disney on line. Visa has credit cards like that. But I couldn't find Visa Gift Cards with a Disney character on them. So now I'm back to the drawing board.

There there is Thanksgiving, I know it's before Christmas, but every year it's hard to plan. We have our non-traditional family. The grandkids are with their mom's or their dad's and I never know which of our children will be here with kids or with out kids. And then to add to that you have the kids in-laws who want them at their house, and my step kid's mom who wants our kids and the grandkids there. And of course this is with all the holidays, but for some reason it messes up Thanksgiving more than anything.

Done rambling, any ideas on what I can do, and keep the theme of Disney for our trip, let me know!
Thanks for listening, yet again!

Nano Month

To Nano or not to Nano that is the question!

Welcome to my Monday ramblings about anything and everything. Since it's November, I'm doing the Nano ramble. Do you know what that is? It's National Novel Writing Month There is a web site and you can register your goal and people support each other to write a book in one month. Your turn off your inner editor and just write, non stop.

Forget the fam, laundry, house... Lots of caffeine and write.

This year I did not register but I belong to a group called Charming the Muse AITC (Ass in the chair) we are working together. I am in the middle of a book so my goal is to finish the last 35 to 40K by the end of the month. Plus I need to finish requested revisions on a manuscript for my publisher. So I have a lot to do.

How many of you are doing Nano? Do you feel it benefits you or do you feel it stifles your creativity? Comment on what you think.

Until next Monday's rambles!
